Eleven Wishes is the second of my 10 - 15 acrylic paintings on wood, for so called "Rosenfest" (Rose-Event) in Freihof Sulz. I am currently working on others pieces already. I will be uploading those in one of the next days.

First of all, this painting has a very sweet and familiar feeling to it. I like the colours, and even though the tones aren't the warmest, the pic still looks sweet. The stars and dots along with the faded/blurry bits also make it look magical. Furthermore, I like how you have made parts of the painting look very illuminated. It adds some magic.
It's also interesting to look at the painting more carefully. There is lots of things to discover, like the different ladybirds. And, of course, the wishes are represented rather imaginatively.
If I had to change something in this, it would be the format and/or composition. I like the idea of a square painting, it would fit something like this very well. But you've painted this in a way that it looks "taller" than it really is (by using lots of vertical lines). For me the illusion that its height is bigger than its width distracts me a bit. But that's not a huge problem, I just wanted to point that out.
I've got the feeling like some details in this painting would need to pop out more. Like the aforementioned ladybirds. I think if they had more detail then they would be more "important" in the pic. But naturally that's arguable because maybe if they were more detailed and sharp then the picture would not be as mysterious and magical.
Anyhow, overall I like this painting. Keep up the good work!
Very cool image here, it reminds me of these old children's stories my grandmother used to read to my little brother and I when we were tots. The illustrations had the same painterly look (not as a bright mind you) that you have here. Great work!
